The factory brakes on the Nissan Frontier are not known for great performance, especially when your truck has larger wheels and tires or extra weight from rooftop tents or other overlanding cargo. This imbalance in performance isn't confidence-inspiring for any driver whether on the road or trail. Z1’s front brake upgrade package offers a significant increase in braking performance from the inclusion of large 4-piston brake calipers and 14" brake rotors. This also increases the thermal capacity of the braking system, improving braking performance and consistency when towing. Our testing has proven that control of threshold breaking to the limit of the tire adhesion can be restored even on lifted trucks with 35” tires. INCLUDED WITH THIS KIT:
This kit includes Z1's new fully forged brake calipers. Customers are also given the choice between standard single-piece rotors and Z1's lightweight 2-piece brake rotors. Lightweight rotors are an ideal selection to help offset the added weight of the braking system and maintain lower rotational mass. Finally, kits offer users a choice of pad and brake line length to suit trucks with or without a Titan swap.
Z1 Forged Brake Calipers - Similar to the factory Sport brake calipers found on Nissan and Infiniti sports cars, these are an easy bolt-on solution that provides a substantial increase in braking potential over factory base model brakes. These calipers feature fully forged aluminum bodies, making them more durable and rigid than their cast aluminum counterparts. Each caliper is anodized prior to powdercoat, increasing finish durability and providing enhanced protection against surface oxidation. Calipers are available in your choice of Black, Yellow, or Red and feature an engraved Z1 logo painted in a high-contrast color.
Note: Use the Shorter Banjo Bolts provided with this kit. Do not use the banjo bolts in the prepacked brake line kit.
