
The Dobinsons IMS coilovers are one of the best options for the front of your 2022+ Nissan Frontier. They provide a large valve body design which provide a great ride when paired with the appropriate spring for your build. Suitable for street or trail use the Dobinsons IMS coilovers are an excellent option for hybrid use applications where a truck is used both on the street and trail.
Dobinsons IMS monotube shock absorbers are designed for next level performance over twin tube shocks in those hot, harsh, demanding conditions. By utilizing the mono-tube design, Dobinsons IMS shock absorbers are able to use a larger piston and valve set with more resistance to fade over rough roads, long or hard working 4WD trips, towing or racing conditions.
The larger 50mm high flow pistons reduce internal pressures, reduce the heat generated, transfer heat to the body for faster cooling and offer improved damping performance and vehicle control at higher shaft speeds on rough terrain and during big impacts. Threaded bodies on struts allow for fine tuning of height and offer further improvements in cooling. The micro-polished, hard chromed and heat treat shock shaft, CNC aluminium high flow race inspired piston, and DOM seamless tubing body provides the ultimate in performance and off-road durability.

NOTE: This measurement must not be exceeded as this may cause the coil spring to bind and will cause serious damage to the shock absorber, the spring and also the vehicle. A minimum of 50mm of downward wheel travel must always be maintained.
To complete the lift you will also need to source or transfer your strut mounts.
It is also recommended to add Front Upper Control arms that improve clearance around the strut mount on the frame to avoid the Coil Bucket Contact (CBC). Z1 prefers the SPC Front Upper Control Arm set for it's improved clearance, added adjustment and sealed ball joint. Like most Frontiers it should be planned to clearance the FUCA mount for install and the lip of the coil bucket may need to be ground off in certain places (this clearance work is standard regardless of brands from our experience and general practice installing lifts over 1").
