This is a Nissan Oil Change Kit for the Nissan Frontier, Xterra, Pathfinder models equipped with the VQ40DE (4.0L V6) powertrain.
This kit comes complete with all the items necessary to do a complete oil change on your car.
Genuine Nissan Conventional 5W-30 oil is recommended by Nissan for all Frontier / Xterra / Pathfinder models equipped with the VQ40DE powertrain. This oil is also considered a semi-synthetic blend from the dealer.
Includes:
Nissan service manual states that the oil change capacity with a new OEM Filter is 5 3/8 Qts for the VQ40DE (4.0L V6) powertrain equipped models.

Convenient oil change kit. Purchase price less than buying something local considering that this Nissan filter is about half the price than replacement filters around me. I would have to buy oil at the big box store and then go to the parts store for a filter and crush washer for brands wanted. I noticed that the crush washer fit is better with this version than the parts store one I had last time. I forgot about the oil change window sticker being in the kit and that is nice to have instead of my notecard in the glovebox.

Exactly what i needed for my 2008 Xterra. Z1 opts for the larger VK56 oil filter (both the standard VK40 and VK56 filters can be used) which is ideal and what my local dealership recommended.
