Product Description

JWT Flywheel for your Nissan Frontier or Xterra with the 4.0L (VQ40) powertrain.

JWT low inertia flywheel weighs in at 19.6lbs. Cutting the weight of the stock dual mass unit in half makes this engine respond to its true potential. Deceleration is also improved allowing the engine to slow the car with less loading on the brakes. OEM style and JWT clutch assemblies fit this flywheel.

Note: Only for models equipped with a manual transmission. OEM Flywheel Bolts Sold Separately.

Read a number of mixed reviews on putting a lightweight flywheel on a truck. I experienced none of those concerns. Crawls great, pulls trailer great, daily drives great. Now it just spins up into useful rpm range much quicker to access the power band more efficiently. It did require a day or so to get use to the clutch feel, but nothing different than getting into any other MT for the first time. Very pleased; now hoping for longevity.

Ditching the dual mass flywheel is the best thing you can do for the drivability of the Xterra. JWT makes quality parts (always has) and Z1 makes the ordering process super easy.
