Product Description
OEM Crankshaft Position/Angle Sensor for 2005+ Nissan Frontiers that are equipped with the VQ40DE engine. This sensor is responsible for communicating the angle of the crankshaft to the ECM.
Failing sensors can cause hard or no starts, cutting out, misfire, and reduced power. Often the earliest signs of a failing sensor will be dropping RPM while cruising or under light load.
The VQ platform is quite sensitive to this sensor and often aftermarket sensors do not work. Save the headache and avoid losses by repairing your Frontier correctly the first time with OEM Nissan Parts.
Note: This sensor does not come with an O-ring. A replacement O-ring can be found HERE.
Common Fault codes include:

Definitely make sure you picked the correct side, the pins on the angled one doesn't work for the straight orientation.

OEM replacement. Mine didn’t need replacing and I didn’t want to wait till it did so I did some preventative maintenance.

I had an inconsistent cutting out issue on my truck over rough gravel roads and surfaces which would sometime have delayed no start after. I opted to just change all 3 sensors (Cam & Crank) since the cost was reasonable and I didn't want to risk being broken down somewhere. Truck has been flawless since so going on 2 years now. Seems to run a little nicer in all conditions too and was cheaper than taking it in for service.
