Product Description
OEM Crankshaft Position/Angle Sensor for 2005-2015 Nissan Xterras that are equipped with the VQ40DE engine. This sensor is responsible for communicating the angle of the crankshaft to the ECM.
Failing sensors can cause hard or no starts, cutting out, misfire, and reduced power. Often the earliest signs of a failing sensor will be dropping RPM while cruising or under light load.
The VQ platform is quite sensitive to this sensor and often aftermarket sensors do not work. Save the headache and avoid losses by repairing your Xterra correctly the first time with OEM Nissan Parts.
Note: This sensor does not come with an O-ring. A replacement O-ring can be found HERE.

Works as intended. 2012 Frontier would start but when it fired it seemed like the spark was weak. About a month later it began to have intermittent crank and no start, eventually it would start and that's when I decided to replace the crank and cam sensors. Very easy to do. It now has smoother idle and actually somehow smoothed the shifting from 1-2 in my frontier. The cam sensors are not OEM so time will tell if they are decent quality.

This is a qualit OEM Nissan part that is extremely critical to the overall drive train functionality of your vehicle. Reasonably priced for DIY repair. I keep a spare in the vehicle for peace of mind on the road.
